Visiting the Gem

06 December 2021

Way back when I was learning about photography, I mostly used a little Nikon Coolpix 4500 and concentrated on close-ups. A visit to Pilanesberg Game Reserve allowed me an opportunity to test my skills on subjects further away whilst enjoying the great outdoors.

Of course, I had so much to learn still. There I focused on developing my love for landscape and animal photography. The Gem (Pilanesberg) is a good place to pursue this interest as one gets to see much in a relatively short time period. Over time my confidence grew and I never stop learning. No better subjects than the African bush and it's wild animals!

May you find the time to visit the Gem at least once in your life.
