Pet photography, as with photographing children, requires huge amounts of patience. Shooting a litter of pups is both a wonderful and exhausting experience.

Shooting pups up to 3 weeks of age is possibly easiest as puppies are not very mobile yet and can be staged with a toy or another prop. However, this is also a very vulnerable stage. Shoots must be done with utmost care to keep them feeling secure, safe and in particular, all health measures should be in place.

Most new owners will not "see" their pup at this age, excepting for photos, so documenting their development holds special meaning to all. Get in touch if you would like to document the progress of your young ones?
